COVID-19 Vaccination message to all patients:

The national programme to vaccinate vulnerable people against covid-19 is starting this week.   The vaccinations will take place in waves so please do not contact us to book an appointment. We will contact you as directed by NHS England. Our nurses, doctors and clerical staff will be working long hours and giving up their free time to help with the vaccination programme which is the largest ever undertaken by the NHS.  We would like to thank you in advance for your patience as some of our routine services will be disrupted during this challenging time.

If you would like to know more about the COVID vaccine from Pfizer please see this patient leaflet:

What to expect from the COVID19 Vaccine

NHS App Appointments

Consult online

In line with government guidance we will not be issuing sicknotes for patients self-isolating due to coronavirus symptoms, family contacts or high risk patients who have been advised to self-isolate. We anticipate that there will be a system in place via the 111 website in the next few weeks for patients to self-certify.

In the meantime employers are being advised to ‘use their discretion’ when people tell them they need to self-isolate. If they do not accept this then the employer needs to refer the patient to their own occupational health department.
